Water is a crucial resource in everyone's life. Making sure that we use a reasonable amount is great not only for ourselves but for our environment. Here are some great ways to reduce water usage here in Reno.
Turn off the water when brushing your teeth A very easy thing to do is rather having the water full blast, shut it off while you brush your teeth. Do larger loads Running your washer and dryer when they are full can save up to 1000 gallons a month. If its not urgent its always good to wait till you have enough for a full load to wash. Washing dishes When washing dishes by hand do not let the water run. Try to let the dishes soak first and then wash. It makes it easier to clean them. Shorter showers Taking shorter showers can save plenty of water especially if you have a large family. Five minute showers are easy to do and can be a fun for children. Water lawn at night Watering your lawn when the sun is setting, night time, or early morning can help save water. If you are watering during the day most of the water will not make it all the way down. You would have to use more than you would at a cooler time. Comments are closed.
